浜松の休日/Holiday in Hamamatsu
姉一家との顔合わせも無事に終わり、翌日はカヤックに。彼が20歳頃までやっていたのもあり、せっかくだから川遊びをすることにしました。
クリークサウンドさんの1日ツアーに申し込み、ウキウキ。薄曇りの暑い日で、川の冷たさが気持ちいいです。カヤックは船の先端を向けた方向に進んでいくので、下半身での調整が大事。ついでに、視線の方に進むので、行きたい場所を見るのも重要です。ちょっとだけスノーボードに似てるなと思いながら、漕ぎながら感覚を掴んでいきます。
ふと相方を見ると、なんか船ごと水の中で回転してる！その後も、転覆した他の参加者を救出したり、ルート上危ないところで他のツアー客を案内したりと、なんだか活躍してます。ふむ、この人は水の中では河童だったかと「カッパだね！」と言ったら「yes!」と元気の良い返事。河童知ってるのかしら？
ちなみに、ガイドさん1名はダブルワーク。平日昼間は会社員で、週末にはカヤックやラフティングのガイドをしているとのこと。趣味が高じてガイドまでするようになったみたいです。次の週末には、娘さんやお孫さんがラフティングにさんかするそうで、なんとも楽しそうです。ダブルワークをするなら、こんな形でやりたいなぁと参考になりました。
初心者向けの川で、かつ流れも緩やか。進む方向の調整さえできてれば、あとは流れに身を任せてのんびり。夏っぽい真っ青な空と真っ白な雲、そして周りを囲む緑に癒されて、楽しいひとときを過ごしました。
Joined a kayaking tour in Hamamatsu organized by Creeksound(http://www.creeksound.com). Met at Nishi-Kashima station, 40 minutes from Hamamatsu station by train, then drove to the activity station by 1hour.
It was was first time for me to play kayaking. I feel it’s similar to snowboarding... controlling my direction using my foot. Mmmm, it was fun! The river was so calm that I didn’t have to make effort to move forward.
On the other hand, my partner used to play it when he was teenager. He even joined the competition. Then can you imagine what happened? So hustled in the water! In these days he was tired of Japanese humid summer. I was so happy to see his enjoying.
It was beautiful day of typical summer in Japan with blue sky and white clouds. I enjoyed summer holiday with my lovely kappa!
