フランス人との入籍手続き1 Marriage procédure of French&Japnese

フランス人のパートナーと入籍を決めてから、はや2ヶ月。Non-Japanese との入籍手続きは、とにかく時間がかかります。

日本で入籍をするためには、彼のsingle status を証明する書類が必要です。そのために、まずは私の戸籍謄本と彼のSingle status を確認する書類をそれぞれの地元から取り寄せ、私の戸籍謄本をフランス語に翻訳し、フランス大使館に提出。そこから、フランスの彼の地元で結婚に異議がないかを問う手続き(publication de mariage)を行います。7月5日に提出して、区役所に貼り出されたのが7月18日。そこから10日間猶予の期間があり、異議がなければsingle certification が発行されるはず。提出から1ヶ月経ちますが、まだ入手できていません。

時間のかかる理由が、セキュリティのため、アタッシュケースに入れて、政府専用機で送るかららしい。お願いだからDHLにしてくれないかな？（笑）

2 months have passed since we decided to get married. I find the marriage procedure really takes a time.

Getting married in Japan, his single status certification is required. Firstly, I got a Koseki-Tohon with French translation and he got a document to clarify his single status. Secondly we submitted these documents to French Embassy. In France, there’s a procedure called “publication de mariage” his hometown for 10days then the document come back to French Embassy of Japan if there’s no objection.  July 5th was the date of submitting to French embassy then publication started on July 18th. Although almost a month has passed, we haven’t received anything... :(

The reason of taking time is because there document travels by government airplane. Doesn’t it work with DHL? To do so, we reduce 2wks.
