フランス人との入籍手続き2:独身証明書受領 Single certification from Embassy of France

独身証明書の発行依頼を提出してから1ヶ月。フランス大使館から完了の連絡が8月9日にあり、祝日明けの8月13日に訪問しました。

こんな機会でもないと入れないと、私も一緒に1時間かけて広尾の大使館に。領事部の入り口には他のカップルのpublication du marriage が張り出されていて、ほほう、と。

領事部で独身証明書を受領し、次のプロセスの説明を受けました。領事部の担当者は日本語とフランス語で説明をしてくれて、私達は英語で会話。やっぱりフランス語を話せるといいなーとこんな時に思います。

ふっと書類を見ると、公告期間が7月8日〜19日になってる。あれ？彼の地元では18日から貼り出されたんじゃなかったっけ？これは、双方の居住地で順番にやるのか？とクエスチョンマークがいくつか。そもそも、e-mailのある時代にわざわざフランス大使館で作った書類を空輸するってナンセンスだよねーと思いつつ、面倒だから確認はしませんでした。

無事に独身証明書を受領し、次は日本での婚姻手続きに。

One month has passed since he submitted to issue his single certification. The embassy informed to prepare the document on August 8 then we visited Embassy of France on August 13.

As I was just curious, I followed him all the way to Hiroo taking trains for one hour. There were several “publication of marriage” on the information board. Hmmmm. Our number was called then we received the document with the explanation of next procedure both in French and Japanese.

Strangely, publication period in the document started from July 8 to July 18. Mmmmm, I remember the publication in his hometown was from July 19th. Does it mean that the publication procedure was both in Japan and his hometown? For sure it’s nonsense to send the document by briefcase in this IT developed environment. I was suspicious to the reason of delay though I was too lazy to confirm.

Next is the procedure of marriage in Japan.
